Leslie Godfrey

A seasoned performer and enthusiastic educator, Leslie Godfrey holds both a bachelor's and master's degree in oboe performance from Mason Gross School of the Arts (Rutgers University). She is an active freelance musician in the tri-state area, and has been teaching privately for several years. Leslie has also served on the faculty of the Rutgers Extension Division, and is currently the executive Executive Director of New Horizons Music of Woodbridge, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides musical training to adults. Leslie teaches group lessons, presents masterclasses, and conducts the New Horizons Band of Woodbridge, and also oversees the New Horizons Community Chorus and New Horizons Little Big Band. In addition, she is the founder and facilitator of ECOrhythms (an environmentally-friendly drum circle program) and Vintage Beats (group empowerment drumming for senior citizens), and develops and organizes drumming and music programs for Woodbridge community events.
